Relativistic effects in the many-body theory of extreme multiplicity ion formation in superstrong laser fields

In recent years, the formation of multiply charged atomic ions (MCIs) in a superstrong laser field with an intensity of up to 1019 W cm-2 has been actively studied in experiments [1–14]. Xe24+ ions were obtained in [12] and Xe25+ ions were detected in experiments by Yamakawa et al [3] and Akahaneet al [4]. This is a record-breaking multiplicity for optical frequency fields. To date, these results have not been exceeded and have not been interpreted.
